Resources for Students in the U.S.

Haiti Scholarships unfortunately does NOT provide scholarships to Haitian-born or Haitian-American students that are located in the United States. We do get a lot of requests from students that are here in the United States and although we cannot provide any direct assistance, below is some information that we hope you will find useful in your search for financial assistance. We applaud your dedication to pursue an education and hope that one or several of these resources will be useful to you!

  • The National Association of Haitian Professionals provides annual scholarships to students across the United States pursuing 2-year, 4-year, graduate, and business school programs. Requirements include: a high school or college transcript showing continued academic progress, school and community involvement, required essays and letters of recommendation, as well as a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA. For more details on deadlines and submissions, check out their website here

  • The Association of Haitian and American Engineers provides three annual scholarships:

    1. $1,000 to a high school graduate who has been accepted to an accredited college and majoring in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics) discipline

    2. $1,000 to a college student enrolled in an accredited college with a declared major in a STEM discipline

    3. $1,000 to a graduate student pursuing a post-graduate degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college or university. Click here for the full list of requirements, and click here for the application procedure. It seems that applications are due annually in September.
